The Synergy Alliance

Costa Coffee

...jointly working towards a common goal

The Talent Team at Costa Coffee asked us to help bring to life the Store Manager competencies. These had been launched a year beforehand and where not bringing balance to the score card method of measuring effectiveness.

The outcome was to create an event that would run at various locations throughout Great Britain for all the Store Managers to truly understand how to measure how they were performing.

We worked with the Talent Team to run the events and Regional Development Managers (RDMs) as table facilitators.

The events were a huge success, judging from the feedback of the Store Managers who asked for more tools and techniques to develop their management styles. Improvements were noticed in many Store Managers self assessments, supporting meaningful and targeted conversations with their Regional Development Managers.

As a result of the feedback we are continuing to create materials a range of materials for the regional managers to deliver including highly focused themes and short take sessions as well as workshops days in an integrated programme. Whilst this is a significant shift in thinking and approach for many, this organisation that’s been voted Marketing Organisation of the Year for 2011, pragmatically supports continuous development to support individual and organisational growth.

We are proud of our on-going relationship with Costa.

What Others Say

As a coaching supervisor…
”Sharon is always insightful and challenging – even when I though I had nailed something she was able to ask me a question that made me realize that maybe there was something else I could have done, without me ever feeling that she didn’t value what I had already done.”
